“It was nice growing up here . We have good water in front of us and protection for our village with the mountains. That hill up there (White Mountain) used to be a watch out. That’s why they call the hill ‘Natchirsvik,’ or ‘a place to see’. This is my look out right here. I like to watch people. ‘Hey, VPSO! (Village Public Safety Officer) They are fighting over there!’ [Laughs] There used to be a house right here [across the street], but it burned down. Now I have a good view.
